Wry Close

Orthogonal plan (left) and diagonal plan (right)
Anticipating exorbitant site development costs, possible delays and economic unsteadiness, it seemed like a reasonable thing to do: take the same 61-foot square footprint and make the courtyard larger by making the house smaller. This house is just over 1000 square feet. We have less to take care of, the dogs have far more to explore. And additions can be made beyond the walls; additions such as a garage with storage for electric mowers and kayaks, a guest bedroom and bath, and maybe an office. Or not. The plans - one rotated, one orthogonal, are above (click to enlarge).

Well--I don't know that you had all that much to take care of before, but as long as something gets built and you get here, I'll be happy to see ANYTHING! Please build soon.
