We've always realized that we'd still need one more room. No, not a guest bedroom, nor a billiard room nor a conservatory. What we've needed always was a room for books. A library. With any luck we'll be able to build one, probably next year. It will stand free of the house and act as a sort of entry gatehouse at the end of the drive. Doesn't that sound pretentiously grand? It's a room of our own for our books, and that's that.
