Elevation: At This Point

Well, we may not be there yet, but after an exploration of a more complex roof, the insertion of a step (up into the main living space) and a brief foray with clerestory windows, this scheme has solidified a bit further. In order to capture more of the view to the southwest - and recognizing that the initial building project is far more oriented to the views to the north - the plan is to build (sometime in the next two years) a bedroom as separate structure, connected to the dressing area via a "bridge".
